This coffee really is special. As someone who is allergic to dairy, but remains wildly devoted to all things rich and frothy, this recipe has become one of my all-time favorites. It’s also a great way to incorporate more healthy fats into your morning meal in order to provide sustained energy throughout the day. Many folks who are sensitive to caffeine find that the addition of protein from the egg also helps them to enjoy coffee in a way they were unable to previously. Feel free to play with this recipe, adding maple syrup in place of the honey, grass-fed beef tallow in place of the coconut oil, or blending in a generous pinch of powdered cardamom and rose petals.
